Combine global professional development with personal enrichment.

Study abroad with New York University's School of Culture, Education, and Human Development!

Study Abroad LocationsThe Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development is a leader in the global educational community.  We believe that the emerging leaders we educate must develop a global perspective to integrate the vital connections within diverse communities and across cultures. Our programs offer a challenging array of courses in education, health, communication, and the arts. See a full list of our programs.

We welcome students and professionals alike. The dynamic mix of graduate students and working professionals has been a unique feature of our programs for over 30 years. The relationships that develop in an atmosphere of self-discovery and immersive learning are rewarding and life-changing.

We offer intensive courses in both January and summer.  You will earn from 3 to 12 graduate credits toward your degree at NYU or at another university as transfer credit. Programs do not have a foreign language requirement, though language study is encouraged and optional on some programs.

Study with prominent scholars and artists. Pursue individual research. Develop a global context for your area of study. Meet leaders in your field. Attend performances, visit museums, encounter historical sites. Join us for an unparalleled opportunity to combine professional development with personal enrichment.
